The Houston creative scene has seen it’s ups and down when it comes to different designers and emerging brands that’s reached their pinnacle or time of prominence. The cycle of brands have made their rounds in The Bayou City, but it’s only a few that differentiated themselves and stood the test of time as fashion + style changed over the years. While it’s some brands in the city, some are just putting their foot in the fashion game and making a lasting impact beyond the threads they’re designing.
One of the brands that’s making headlines and capturing much attention is the soccer inspired brand, GhostTown Saints FC. Flipping the popular identity of your favorite soccer squads, GhostTown uses it’s sleek, simplistic dark image as a propeller to offer custom designs for customers to enjoy. Giving folks the option to dawn their threads while also allowing customers to implement their own names on the back of the pieces puts GhostTown in a winning position when it comes to merchandise and marketing.
Aside from the famous soccer jerseys that GTSFC has made for the locals, the likes of Tory Lanez, JoeFreshGoods, Da$h, Maxo Kream, and others have sported the brand as well. The growth of the brand has not only brought a sense of pride for people to rock the clothes but it’s giving the brand the opportunity to throw dope events and creative workshops as well. Owner, Sebvicious made it apparent to coincide the brand with his other company, Sample001, which is primarily focused on creating + doing more DIY efforts that are not attached to the aesthetic of GTSFC.
Between both brands, the foundation that GhostTown is creating is turning a new leaf in the community of Houston and how the creative scene can be revolutionized over time. For those who are interested in more information on both brands, check out the links and photos below.
