On January 27, Migos and Kehlani both dropped their albums “Culture” and “Sweet Sexy Savage” respectively. However, flying under the radar was Kevin Durham’s “Apples” EP released two days earlier.
The Six Track EP blended hard hitting punchlines on a trap flow, which, for faithful fans of rapper, was just another reiteration of what he could do. Durham shows his diversity and lyrical range from his first track “Memories” spitting bars about a “masterplan” and saying “Since you a man now let’s talk about it”.
"The “Apples” EP is definitely worth taking a look at with Durham’s lyricism and old school deep bass. "
Another noteworthy track on the EP is 134 Likes where Durham chronicles the story of a girl who like the title says has at least 134 likes on her social media posts. The track is worth taking a look at as it’s a sleeper that speaks about being trendy in today’s world.
Possibly one of the top songs on the EP is “Shine” which sees the rapper going in on the beat, taking shots at the shade throwers.
The “Apples” EP is definitely worth taking a look at with Durham’s lyricism and old school deep bass. If the EP shows anything it’s that big things are in store for Durham.
