The Houston sound has been known as a place where a lot of rising talent set to make their mark in the industry, but it ends up being a place where some fall to the wayside and only few will make it in the ranks to prosper beyond the city’s limits. An artist who’s differentiated himself from the bunch and who looks onto to bursting on the national scale is Houston bred artist, Paris Le Rouge.
We interviewed quite some time ago, and since then he’s flourished into one of Houston’s emerging rappers who’s looking to have a great start in 2018. After releasing loosies such as “Lil Goat Freestyle” and “Send Nudes”, Le Rouge unleashes his well-anticipated project, “There’s A Lot Going on Right Now”.
The eight track EP is a strong introduction to his more polished sound and provides an excellent foundation for any listener who wants to get familiar with the Bayou City artist. The standout tracks from the project range from the KSwisha produced party anthem which is bound to be a hit, “Whorechata” to the Spanish influenced flow of “Fuego Fye Flame” to the fast rhythm of the Etheral produced single, “Make A Move”.
Rouge shows flairs of rapping similar to Alamo Records signed artist, Wifisfuneral but he also brings forth his original flavor of blending rhymes about retro collections of BBC and Ice Cream. Rouge shows much promise with a lot of room for improvement but look forward to seeing his artistry to grow this upcoming new year.
