K$ubi Kayy applies the pressures with Say Kuro in the “SSR” visual
Written by Greg Harris
If you have been paying attention to the appeal of the Northeast sound, New York reigns supreme but Connecticut has grown to harvest a lot of great talent in the past couple of years. Among some of the leaders of the new wave in the state, K$ubi Kayy has garnered enough ears to hold one of the thrones at the top in CT. He continues to show that with his Ike Abakah directed music video, “SSR”. The MLM directory of photography/video captures the rising CT artists in a vintage light in front of the bodega kicking fresh rhymes. Incorporating the grime nature of the state, but keeping things wavy with the delivery of the visual just goes to how this growing culture in this area is going to prosper in 2018.
