When it comes to some of the hottest regions in the nation that’s having the most influential sounds that’s coming out in hip-hop right now, you can look at places such as California, Louisiana, Florida, and others as well that played instrumental roles into the way that the modern sound of the genre is created today. Aside from those locations, the Dallas, Fort Worth, and Arlington, TX scene has collectively gotten the nation’s attention with the bass heavy beats and emphasis on the jigg culture that once erupted about a decade ago.
Given this base of influence that’s striking across the nation, it’s helping break a lot of artists in the process and one of the new acts that’s going to be making waves leading into 2019 is Fort Worth’s own SwerveLordd. The young budding star has already made a name for himself with collaborating with the likes of Splurge and Go Yayo, but it’s his consistency and differentiation in sound that’s going to set himself apart. The young man is a work horse that knows how to make street anthems in the process. Already hitting the internet with singles such as “IHOP”, “GMC”, “Friday The 13th”, and more, he’s certainly on the right path of making a difference in the area but also claiming one of the top spots for the DFW next year.
Keep your eyes peeled and get familiar with one of DFW’s most viable assets for 2019, SwerveLordd.
