Emerging Philly artist, Sudan drops his long-awaited debut project, "Pay Me In Love"
Written by Greg Harris
As the world has been getting hip to Philadelphia's sound with the likes of Omelly, Lil Uzi Vert, PnB Rock, Meek Mill, and more, Philadelphia hasn't necessarily become a strong enough hub to house artists on the underground level that can reach nationwide outlets. While the scene may be maturing with its sound structure, rising artist/creative Sudan deliver a heavily thought out project with his new album, "Pay Me In Love". The overly-dedicated project is his official debut, which took years to make but it's more than worth the wait.
Getting introduced to his sound years prior when he was residing in New York, Su has certainly elevated his presence of attacking records in various fashions and being more precise of his direction of who he is as an artist. Being someone who has much influence in the Philadelphia cultural scene, Su has the potential to become one of the city's newest artists that are delivering refreshing sounds and messages that stretch beyond the Northeast borders. It's an impressive start to what he is doing, and it's only a matter of time until this receives more attention from other outlets as well.
