Written by Greg Harris
Looking at the Houston infrastructure, it’s safe to say it’s a lot of unique artists who are emerging in the space. Growing into their own and accomplishing feats at a high level, Houston has a lot to offer in the art scene and it’s only going to grow in 2019. One of the most impressive artists who have been on their grind for quite some time is Houston’s own dreadhead flower enthusiast, Tim Woods.
He’s been on the scene for quite some time, but it was really what he did last year that allow him to propel into his own with his weekly series, #MulchMonday. This series gave Tim Woods a continuous platform for to try different flows but also different things aesthetically when it came to visual aspect of his work. The unique thing that he has done is doing this material in a Instagram format, literally making records that would range from 1-2 minutes depending if he wants to add multiple videos in his posts or not. Either way, it gives Woods an infinite advantage to how much work he can produce but also doing it at a creative level.
As you can see from the work that’s featured above, it’s a lot to offer from Woods catalog but he recently subsidized it in his latest body of work with his project, “ThankYouVeryMulch”. The new 10-track project chooses some of the best songs that Woods has created in recent memory and it’s a refreshing piece of music that your local listeners need to get familiar with.
Check out what Woods has to offer above and below.
