When it comes to the different scenes that’s making a different ripple into the nation’s speakers is NYC Drill inspired sound. Where it has been something that always been there, it seems as if lately its reaching new heights with acts such as Fivio Foreign, Pop Smoke, and Smoove L making undeniable hits in the sub-genre.
Hailing from Brooklyn, Smoove L has been a reckoning force on his own and it shows with his line of records he’s released this past year. His infectious single, “New Apolo” was the sample for the beloved song “Gatti” by Travis Scott and Pop Smoke on the Jackboys project. As he continues to drop more fire and set new trends, he offers an infectious banger with his TMZ influenced visual, “Ouu Ahh”. Both of these songs and others lets it be known that Smoove L is on the right track to becoming a star soon than later.
