Emerging Houston producer, ZVE Spins “So What” by Field Mob + Ciara
Written by Greg Harris
The art of sampling holds a special place in people’s heart because it brings back the familiarity of good records we enjoy. The notion of bringing back those emotions and feelings attached to those records not only makes it special but also give different experiences that folks can take with these songs as well. Whichever side fits best for you, it’s still something that can enjoy and cherish while it’s being played.
Making a difference in the Houston producing community, ZVE of the TerrorTwinz (Paris Aden + ZVE) has made his mark with his melodic driven beats and unique approach to attacking his sound. Where he’s offering a smoother route for artists to take, ZVE has also dabbled in the space of remakes as well. One of the most notable ones recently he has is the lo-fi chopped sample of Field Mob x Ciara’s single, “So What”. While it still carries its original essence, ZVE makes sure to make this a slowed down jam that’ll be perfect for your next kickback playlist. While this may be your first time hearing this, It won’t be your last time hearing about ZVE.
