Open the pages of your beloved social media platform or the front page of your favorite news site, an under appreciated asset is the approach that each company towards their visual representation. Whether its still graphics or moving visual effects, what’s appealing to the eye plays a key part to engage the target audience. We’ve long since moved the methods of the “Mad Men” of advertising in the 60s and the key of creative marketing has changed drastically over time.
One of the foundations that rely in this transformation is graphic design. Where this is an obvious area of expertise in this field, you have certain individuals who can master their appeal and build on it for the better. Moving away from highlighting different agencies who specializes in this field, we go towards the direction of BX/Florida designer DeadMonBernz who has virtually created his own movement with stapling collages as his signature but not stopping with creative motives towards his work.
Using different forms of saturation, rips, and off-kilter effects, DeadMonBernz unlocks the creative capability of what your average designer wishes they can posses in their creative process. The open-layered ability he puts towards his work is very favorable to the creative efforts that was found in retro advertising during the 70s to 90s, an age in advertising that was less-restrictive and not trend driven. Bernz ability to defy the rules but also create his own is two-edged sword that he uses effectively in today’s fast moving culture.
His work has been in collaboration with the ASAP Mob, Jay Critch, Alamo Records, Rap-A-Lot, YesJulz 1AM Agency, and many more. The widespread network that he has built has not only made him a commodity but its also enable him to bring each client a different experience. Where it may not be a Warhol, Basquiat, or a Haring piece, but it carries the same expressiveness that they did with giving a different piece of them in each piece of art they crafted.
“Bernz ability to defy the rules but also create his own is two-edged sword that he uses effectively in today’s fast moving culture.”
This brash effort he delivers in his work or in his random IG videos (which are quite funny btw), DeadMonBernz has implemented his own lane that can’t be duplicated because it blends the world of a loud NYC native with the oceanic vibes that Florida brings in his work. The blend of both and a sprinkle of Bernz’ planet, this is a trifecta that can’t be stopped and will inspire for years to come.
