Dynamic Production Duo, Take A Daytrip make an international connection with Octavian on their new single, "Stressed"

Why so Stressed?
On Monday two things happened: “Stressed,” by Take A Daytrip and Octavian dropped, and I learned that I have been ignorant of UK hip hop. Take A Daytrip, the New York group of producers behind last year’s smasher “Mo Bamba,” teamed up with Octavian to create this surprisingly dope slapper. Prior to hearing this track, my opinion of any UK hip hop can be summed up by this tasteful representation presented by a Mr. shy goon 4 prez (twitter @hotboyblanco):
Yes, there were exceptions, yes I know I was ignorant to share this opinion, and yes I admit I was wrong. The beat to “Stressed” is, as Mr. prez expertly put it, “hard as hell,” except, however, in this case, no Goofy-screencap expression occurs on my face when a British accent glides into the soundscape.
No, Octavian and Take A Daytrip have completely changed my mind in regards to UK hip hop, and I look forward to hearing what else is to come from Take A Daytrip’s trip to the UK. Now time to go listen to all those Skepta tracks in a tricked out MINI Cooper, after I apologize to Darshak over a traditional beans-on-toast breakfast for doubting him about hip hop from our fathers across the pond.
