Written by Greg Harris
When it comes to the Pacific Northwest, it's an interesting place for breaking new talent but they've been proving time and time again they have some interesting artists that are from that region. Having artists such as Macklemore, Amine, Yeat, Lil Mosey, TyUs, and Cassow pave a way, its ushering a new regime and one of the frontrunners is buzzing artist, Wynee.
Originally introduced to her music through a Worldstar video that featured 1 minute clip of cinematic cuts of different scenes but a raw uncut flow that shares similarities to chart topping rapper Jack Harlow. The single was "Jaw Morant", a lyrical tirade that showcases Wynne obvious appeal and witty bars that makes the argument that she can compete amongst some of the brightest emerging stars in the game. This blend of making hitting making records laced with memorable lines and quotes is found on her project, "Some Like It Hot" featuring singles such as "In The Mood", "Hot Friend", and "Wife" featuring Chris Patrick.
Making a distribution deal with popular music platform, Genius and her label, 101 LLC, it's opened a lot of doors with receiving praises from Billboard Magazine and The Joe Budden Podcast speaking on her flaming single, "What Would Comb Do". Its safe to say that Wynne is a on interesting run, and it's only a matter of time until this buzzing Portland artist is going to be known on a grand scale, so keep your eyes and ears open.
