Dimension Doesn't Matter in Your Own World: The PNTHN's Story of Unified Belief
Written by Greg Harris
Where the stars may shine big bright, the galaxy of artists that Texas has gives light to a new spectacle of artistry in the state. Seeing many different flavors that can be offered from some of the most popular cities in the nation to seeing what kind of talent is sprouting out of the outskirts as well, Texas is a new groove thanks to the art of discovery and the expansion of the internet.
Seeing these horizons stretch over boundaries that wouldn’t be available at first, you’ve seen collectives and artists gain consistent fan bases at a fast rate. You seen this with the unique batch of creatives that create The PNTHN. Where San Marcos,TX was the central point for theses bright individuals, it doesn’t make or bottle them up in one space of the Lone Star State but it enhances it prides that depths of the future can only explain. For the sake of relevancy + timing, PNTHN represents “House of Gods” and the sounds of this theory carries to a forward thinking model when it comes to this meaning being from Texas. That being said, they have taken the reigns of solidifying the thought, “Its Not About What It Is, But Its What We Are + What We Can Be”.
In the process of their ascension, they’ve receiving looks from the likes of Pigeons and Planes, Austin Chronicle, Lyrical Lemonade, and more. As they continued to rise with coming off their own headling tour, “Dimension De La Muerte”. Recently had the opportunity to have a candid conversation with the collective/family on a Sunday Evening in the House of Blues. On an lightly grey-skied early night concert in Downtown Houston, I was brought to an expansive retro aesthetic green room that would be perfect drop for a VH1 Interview in the 90s. This meeting place would be lead to the start of a conversation that can change the perspective of Texans + their listeners.
