Working Overtime To Be Timeless: The Grind of Birdman Zoe

Staring at the adoring glass of the Music Industry from the outside looking in, it’s a glamorous business that people thinks it’s an easy road that starts with a mic and leads to instant stardom. While that may be the case for a small percentage, it’s a large percentile that emphasizes on the hard work and planning of properly rolling out some of your favorite acts you play in your iPhone today. The vastness of music today has altered the game and it’s now operating in different facets of life that integrate the music on a grand level, one of the key playmakers making things shake is Timeless Music’s own Birdman Zoe.
The Haitian-American visionary born and bred from Queens, NY, Daniel “Bird” Desir knew from early on that he had to make an impact not only for himself but also for the sake of his family. Coming from a Caribbean household, it provided a different type of pressure and focus that ultimately propelled his ability to graduate from John Jay College with a degree in Criminal Justice. While at John Jay, he made a name for himself playing basketball and even was offered opportunities to play overseas, but with the birth of his son + looking for something more, Bird had something else in mind.
Working a short stint with Chase Corporate Security, Bird shifted his vision and went all in on building a platform for emerging entertainers with the creation of his company, D&D Productions. This was the first step that allowed to explore the industry head first, and one of the first big breaks was working with Jamaica Queens own, Frenchie in 2011. This work relationship gave Bird his time to shine while he was working as Ricky Racks Manager during the days of 1017 BrickSquad with Gucci Mane + Waka Flocka. Between this work with Frenchie and his work with Mike WiLL affiliate, Yung Joey (aka F1Jo), this given the Zoe the opportunity to spread his wings and allow his craftsmanship as a hard worker + punctuality to trail-blaze his journey.
While he was on the rise in his capabilities as a manager, he wanted to continue to get better in his craft and this also caused a new shift. While Desiigner’s “Panda” was taking the world by storm, Bird reached out to the UK Beat Maker, Menace who made this instrumental. Realizing he needed representation, he helped align his business structure and helped him get his lost publishing. With the help of legal counsel and having a keen eye for talent, Bird realized he had a knack for pinpointing star producers.
This visionary outlook led him to get engaged with the work of Jacksonville producer, Taz Taylor and his Internet Money imprint. “It was a group of kids selling beats, kits, and tutorials online” said Bird. Seeing the potential and connecting through social media, Bird and Taz got their show on the road and helped create some of your favorite hits today. In addition to working with Menace and Taz Taylor, he’s also working with the likes of Nick Mira, JRHTIMAKER,Lil Reek, F1JO, and more. Being the liaison for diverse publishing deals, highlighting a new direction for production, and priding himself on being “One of the Hardest Working” in the industry Birdman Zoe has established himself as an essential piece for today’s fast music business.
As he continues to build and cement the blocks of Timeless Music foundation, the “Big Business Bird” looks to show no signs of slowing down to amplify his empire. While others may be sleep during the weary hours of the night, expect Birdman Zoe to be drawing up plays for the next star you’ll be hearing in your favorite Spotify playlist.
